We recommend a stretch located west of M40 running to the Michigan Lakeshore, the lower section from below Lake Allegan to Saugatuck Township is designated as natural river and offers river kayaking & canoeing on a gentle current with relaxing views of wildlife in their natural elements. Travel down river Ottawa Marsh, accessible outside of Fennville.
We have day trips available in this section of the river featuring enjoyable recreational paddling for family outings and group events. Trips range from approximately 2 hours to a full day. Fisherman and Bird Watchers love this section of the Allegan State Game Area.
